The Snake River in Hells Canyon is one of the premier steelhead runs in the Pacific Northwest. Our steelhead fishing charters start one mile below Hells Canyon Dam at the south entrance of Hells Canyon, where you’ll be guided by our knowledgeable captains in the Wild Section of the river. Mid-November to mid-December is peak season for steelhead, so book early to make the most of this short window! This trip is also great for hunters out to bag chukar.
As summer heats up and the waters of the Salmon River Canyon warm, smallmouth bass take center stage as the ultimate sport fish. Don’t let their size fool you — these powerful 1–4 lb fighters deliver an exciting challenge on light tackle and make every catch a thrill. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner, this guided trip is a perfect way to enhance your summer adventure.
With warm, crystal-clear water and stunning canyon scenery, conditions are ideal for both fishing and relaxation. On most days, depending on skill level and weather, it’s common to reel in 20 to 40 bass. The prime season runs from June through September.
You can choose between a full-day trip (7–8 hours of fishing with a deli lunch included) or a half-day trip (5 hours of fishing with drinks and snacks provided). You’re also welcome to bring your favorite beverages — just let us know how much cooler space you’ll need.
Looking to extend the excitement? Combine your bass fishing trip with a drift boat adventure, jet boat tour into the wilderness, lodging package, or even a whitewater rafting trip for the ultimate Salmon River vacation experience.
Head into rushing whitewater in search of the big three — bass, trout, and the mother of them all, sturgeon. Bass and trout are abundant on the river, but the elusive and rare sturgeon is one of the great fishing prizes of the West. Our experienced guides are anglers themselves and will take you to prime spots for each fish. A lunch is included along with drinks.
